It has been a long time between my blog post updates and a lot has been happening. I have been working on a house renovation project and business development with my sons in between supporting my parents with their declutter project and some personal health support for family members including Dad's after a car accident in January. Fortunately he is now back to his normal self, going out visiting his friends and family and his usual retail therapy.
Music Update:
Even when it’s not public, music remains a constant in my life. I’ve been focusing on developing new skills in guitar and vocals while still making time for piano, keyboard, and saxophone. The real challenge is fitting it all in!
I’m looking forward to more gigs with my duo partner, Fran. She has an amazing voice, great stage presence, and the timing of a drummer—an absolute joy to make music with.

Looking Ahead: A New Band Chapter
After a long run with Mel and the Misfits, I’ve passed the keyboard torch to Renae—best of luck to her! I’m now taking my time exploring the next local band project. No rush, just waiting for the right fit to come along.
Health, Healing & Coastrek
This year, I’m setting a personal goal to start running again and stay active for at least 30 minutes each day. A couple of years ago, I had major life-saving surgery, so I’ve been careful to let my body heal properly before diving into higher-impact exercise.
In October, I’ll be taking on the 35km Coastrek from Yallingup to Dunsborough with an amazing group of women. Our team is called Sole Sis Trekkers, and we’ll be fundraising for Beyond Blue. I’ll share our donation page soon!
We’re also planning a few fundraisers in the lead-up—think vision boards, sing-alongs, and good vibes for a great cause.
